Refund & Cancellation Policy

01 Overview

At Booth Africa, we want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase of A Game of Two Halves. This policy outlines your rights regarding cancellations, returns, and refunds for physical book orders placed on boothafrica.com.

02 Order Cancellation

Before Dispatch: You can cancel your order for a full refund within 2 hours of placing it, or before it is marked as “shipped” – whichever comes first.
After Dispatch: Once your order has been dispatched, it cannot be cancelled. You will need to follow our returns process below.
To cancel, email us at bongani@boothafrica.com with your order number and “CANCELLATION” in the subject line.

03 Returns & Refunds – Physical Book

We offer a 14-day return policy from the date you receive your book, in line with the Consumer Protection Act of South Africa.

Book must be returned in its original condition: unread, unmarked, with no creases, stains, or damage.
Shrink wrap / seal (if applicable) must be intact.
Personalized or signed copies are non-returnable unless damaged or defective.
Customer is responsible for return courier costs unless the item is faulty or incorrect.

Refund Timeline: Approved refunds will be processed within 5-7 business days to your original payment method. Bank processing may take an additional 2-3 days.

04 Damaged, Defective or Incorrect Item

Did your copy arrive damaged, misprinted, or is it the wrong product? We will fix it immediately at no cost to you.

Notify us within 48 hours of delivery with photos of the damage/defect and your order number.
We will arrange a replacement couriered at our cost, or issue a full refund including delivery fees.

05 Non-Refundable Items

Books that show signs of use, writing, highlighting, or damage caused by customer.
Digital / eBook versions (if purchased) – once downloaded, all digital sales are final.
Gift cards and shipping costs (unless due to our error).

06 How to Request a Return / Refund

Email bongani@boothafrica.com with your Order Number, Name, and reason for return.
Wait for our Return Authorization (RA) and return address – please do not ship without this.
Pack the book securely in its original packaging.
Ship using a trackable service. Once received and inspected, your refund will be processed.

07 Pre-Orders

Pre-orders for A Game of Two Halves can be cancelled at any time before shipping for a full refund. If a pre-order is delayed by more than 14 days from the estimated ship date, you will be offered the option to cancel for a full refund.
